Letter to my Son

Dear Evan,

It has been my greatest honor to be your Mommy for the past 19 months. I love you to the moon and back again. From the moment you were born, you've had a piece of my heart and soul. Seeing your beautiful and happy little face everyday fills me with too much joy. Your laughter is greater than any gift that you could wrap with your sweet little hands.

With that said...

I found my first gray hair today and there is no doubt in my mind that you put it there. Maybe it started growing the day that you dragged your sister's chair to the counter and tried to reach the coffee pot. It could have been the next day when you learned how to open the fridge and threw a glass bowl full of grapes onto the tile floor. More than likely it was the day that you climbed from a bowl, to a bar stool, and then onto the kitchen island and grabbed a knife. I guess it's also possible that it started growing last night when I was brushing your sweet little hair after bathtime, and you ran off in your nice clean jammies and jumped back in the tub. What I'm trying to say, is that I love you so much that I would like to keep you in one piece. You don't make it so easy...

Every morning I pray that God will help me keep you out of harms way....and everyday I'm reminded that harms way is the only path you are interested in. As your Mommy, I look at you and wish that I could fix any problem that you will ever have, kiss every boo-boo, wipe every tear. I treasure everything about you...all 10 fingers and 10 toes...all 4 limbs...please...PLEASE...be more careful.

~Momma

Wine on Wednesday!

This week for Wine Wednesday, my girlfriends and I got into our pajamas and enjoyed Pancake! It was delicious! I'm not a huge fan of white wine, but this was a good mix. The best part....drinking it in my pj's with some great friends.

Wine on Wednesday!

First I would like to apologize for missing the last two weeks. As most of you know...being a mom is very unpredictable and sometimes our babies just won't allow us to blog. With that said, I'm back!

This weeks wine may just be a new favorite for me. This Kirkland Signature has a reserved spot in my wine rack...69% Merlot+ 29% Cabernet+ 2% Cab Franc = 100% Delish! Head to Costco and grab a bottle for yourself.

Wine on Wednesdays

This week we tasted Chariot Gypsy. All I can say is yummm......this was a definite crowd pleaser. We picked it up at Trader Joe's for $5.99! Another great deal and one of the many reasons I love TJ's.

David's Review
Full bodied like the gypsy on the bottle, this wine is full of flavor. A hint of berry or cherry lingered across my tongue with a surprising smoothness. It left a dryness when it exited my mouth and I was elated to find absolutely no bitterness followed. This dark wine absorbs light around it like a black hole. It absorbed my appetite as well, in what I can only describe as a symbiotic relationship. I found myself asking “am I drinking it or is it drinking me?” Had I been drinking alone I still would of felt that this was an intimate experience. Each time I blinked while drinking Gypsy, I fell into a small dream in which I was in a small Italian restaurant with red checkered table cloth, and a muted violinist. As this was not my first time tasting this wine, I can say it is consistent and loving. This wine is $5.99 at Trader Joes. One of the best wines you will ever had, comparable to a first date with your crush.
