Wine on Wednesdays
This week we tasted Chariot Gypsy. All I can say is yummm......this was a definite crowd pleaser. We picked it up at Trader Joe's for $5.99! Another great deal and one of the many reasons I love TJ's.

Full bodied like the gypsy on the bottle, this wine is full of flavor. A hint of berry or cherry lingered across my tongue with a surprising smoothness. It left a dryness when it exited my mouth and I was elated to find absolutely no bitterness followed. This dark wine absorbs light around it like a black hole. It absorbed my appetite as well, in what I can only describe as a symbiotic relationship. I found myself asking “am I drinking it or is it drinking me?” Had I been drinking alone I still would of felt that this was an intimate experience. Each time I blinked while drinking Gypsy, I fell into a small dream in which I was in a small Italian restaurant with red checkered table cloth, and a muted violinist. As this was not my first time tasting this wine, I can say it is consistent and loving. This wine is $5.99 at Trader Joes. One of the best wines you will ever had, comparable to a first date with your crush.

Wine on Wednesdays!
Welcome back for another Wine Wednesday! This week we chose a tempranillo from spain. La Granja tempranillo was the featured wine at Trader Joe's this week, so we figured this would be a great one try. Tempranillo is made with a variety of black grape and has a short growing season. For me, this wine was drinkable, but there was nothing special about it. It has a very simple flavor and it seems a little flat. David liked it, so maybe I was just missing something. I'll definitely try it agian, maybe next time I'll have a different experience.

Wine on Wednesday
The hubby and I have decided that every Wednesday we will try a new wine. If you are a wine lover as well then I suggest you do the same. Let me know how it goes!
First, I will start with a wine that is so unbelievably cheap it's insane! David stopped at Trader Joe's after work to pick up our favorite bottle of wine and salsa. There he met a fellow husband buying multiple bottles of Vola Sangiovese for his wife, apparently she LOVES it. My husband, being the wonderful man that he is, thought we should give it a try. The catch is...it was ONLY $1.99! WHAT?!?! No, I'm not joking AND it was actually good!

For $1.99, a bottle of wine can be plain and bitter, for that is not a bad price for taking the edge off of a long day. This particular wine, suggested to me from another patron of Trader Joes, was like winning a small lottery.
The second the aroma hit my nostrils, my nose hairs turned soft as velvet. Every tiny crack on my lips seemed to get filled and immediately swell out, giving me full kissable lips. The taste was sweet with a spicy edge that massaged my lower gums. As I rolled my head back and swallowed I felt the hairs on my arms stand up, then relax when the red hit my stomach. There was a sweetness with a bite equal to that of my 6 dollar wine. I highly recommend this wine for its value. It is not the best wine, but it is the best wine for the value. It’s the equivalent of drafting Tony Romo in the 8th round of your fantasy draft.

A Mommy Moment on Monday
Life with kids can be chaos at times. Everyday seems like a challenge, but we get through it. Having a 4 year old and a 1 year old has taught me many things, above all it has taught me that laughter is the key to survival.
After a full day of running errands, grocery shopping, and a playdate, we arrived home at 6:30 pm. On a normal day we have music time at 6:00, dinnertime at 6:45, followed by bathtime, and bedtime. My son was clearly exhausted, but he loves music time so I didn't want to skip it. After 30 minutes of dancing I realize...it's 7:00...yikes! I hadn't even started on dinner, so I rush to the kitchen and start on the meatloaf. Meanwhile my son is throwing the biggest fit that I've ever seen. Mamamamamamamamamama! With my hands in a bowl full of raw meat my son is crying for me to pick him up. "I know honey, I'm almost done, just a minute." All of the sudden I feel him grab my shorts and pull as hard as he can. OMG! My hands are in 1 lb of raw meat and my son has just pulled my shorts down around my ankles. OMG!! Here I am, hands covered in raw meat and I can't get to the sink without stepping on my son. I quickly yell for my daughter to help me pull up my shorts, she runs into the room and bursts out in laughter.
Kaylee: Momma you're so funny, you're not wearing pants.
Me: Kaylee can you please help mommy pull up her pants?
Kaylee: (laughter)
Me: Kaylee pleeeeease!!!
Evan: (laughter)
Kaylee: I can see your bum! (laughter) Momma I can see your bum!
(Evan is now slapping me on the bum because he thinks it's funny)
Me: Please help me...I'll give you M&M's!
Kaylee: M&M's?! (laughter)
Finally, it occurs to me that this may be the funniest thing that has ever happened to me, so I laughed. Then I used my leg to move my son, so that I could manuever myself to the sink where I washed the raw meat off of my hands and pulled up my own pants. Meanwhile my son and daughter are still laughing hysterically, and so am I.
Life with kids is unpredictable, if you can't laugh about it, then you're missing it.

1. My bookclub - it keeps me reading and once a month I get to meet with some awesome ladies.
2. Coffee dates - the kids get to play...mommies get to drink coffee and have adult conversation.
3. Pedicures - I love to have my feet pampered.
4. Music time - everyday at 6:00 the kids and I turn on the music and dance...just because
5. Quiet time - sometimes I wake up before everyone else and drink my coffee in silence.
6. Off the clock - At 9pm I stop what I'm doing and I read or watch tv. I'm on call if the kids need me, but everything else waits until morning.
7. Wine - at the end of a long day it's nice to unwind with a glass of wine.
8. Girls night out! You can appreciate your job as a SAHM when you get to let loose now and then.

10.Date nights - I lovelovelove one-on-one time with my handsome husband!
11.Grocery shopping alone - every other week I leave the kids with daddy, grab some starbucks, and go grocery shopping ALONE! It's lovely!

13.Cooking - I love cooking and it's a great stress reliever for me.
